Windows Vista SP1 インストール完了 - Berfore & After -

19日にリリースとなったWindows Vista Service Pack 1ですが、無事インストール完了しました。インストールにはけっこう時間がかかります。約1時間くらいでしょうか。

環境によってはエラーが出てインストールできなかったりするらしいので運がよかった。今のところXPで使っていたソフトや周辺機器等も動作には特に問題なさそうです。

一通り設定とかが終わったのでSP1適用前と後でどれくらい変わったかベンチマークスコアを比較してみました。

まずは総合ベンチマークソフトの「PCMark Vantage」のスコア。
結果はSP1適用前が3592、適用後が3836とちょっとスコアが伸びました。ハードに変更はないのでやっぱりハードディスクの転送速度が上がってるんでしょうか。

ここまでが詳細結果です。割と大きな変化があったのは、音楽データのトランスコーディング、WEBページのレンダリング、データの暗号化、Media Center関連でした。

次は3DMark06のスコアを比較してみます。ビデオカードは8800GT（ForceWare169.25）。左が前、右が後ですがスコアはほとんど変わりませんでした。
